Espresso Coffee



Espresso is a concentrated coffee drink with a rich, bold flavor. It's the base for many other coffee beverages like lattes, cappuccinos, and Americanos.

Ingredients:

  • 1 shot of espresso
  • Freshly ground coffee beans about 18-20 grams

Instructions:

To begin, grind your coffee beans until they are as fine as table salt

Warm up your portafilter and espresso machine

Put a small amount of ground coffee into the portafilter basket and use a flat edge to make it level

Put about 30 pounds of pressure on the coffee to make it flat and firm

Put the portafilter into the group head of the espresso machine and press the "shot" button

A 1 oz 30 ml shot should take 25 to 30 seconds

Serve the espresso right away in a demitasse cup that has already been warmed up
