Asian Steak Stuffed Grilled Avocados
These grilled avocados with steak inside are asian-style and are full of flavor and healthy fats. Soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic are used to season tender grilled steak that is then stuffed into creamy grilled avocados and topped with sesame seeds and green onions.
Ingredients:
- 2 avocados, halved and pitted
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat grill to medium-high heat
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic
Add sliced flank steak and toss to coat
Marinate for 15-30 minutes
Grill marinated steak slices for 2-3 minutes per side or until desired doneness
Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes
While the steak is resting, grill avocado halves face down for 2-3 minutes until grill marks appear
To assemble, place grilled avocado halves on a serving plate
Fill each avocado half with grilled steak slices
Garnish with green onions, toasted sesame seeds, salt, and pepper
Serve immediately and enjoy!
